Golden Ears Provincial Park is one of the largest parks in the province, at an impressive 55,590 hectares. Originally part of the even larger Garibaldi Provincial Park, Golden Ears was separated and established as its own provincial park in 1967. Named after the prominent twin mountain peaks of Mount Blanchard, commonly referred to as the Golden Ears which in bright sun seem to glow gold. The park is located North of the Fraser River and south of the Garibaldi Provincial Park near the town of Maple Ridge, B.C.
